Qualifications:
- Graduate of Mechanical Engineering course
- Preferably licensed
- With 1 year of experience in industrial construction
Job Description
- Performs design work including researching data, conducting feasibility and economic studies, and determining design criteria in accordance with required standards and codes for assigned projects.
- Designs and implements cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety, reliability and throughput.
- Develops a project specification with colleagues, often including those from other engineering disciplines.
- Develops and evaluates theoretical designs.
- Discuss and solve complex problems with Japanese advisers, project sites, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers.
- Manages projects using engineering principles and techniques.
- Produces details of specifications and outline designs.
- Use research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, particularly mathematical modeling and computer-aided design.
- Considers the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints.
- Develops the utilization of computer programs for the analysis and solution of engineering problems; monitors new developments in data processing applications in the electrical or mechanical engineering field.
- Prepares and updates material take-off for bid proposals and prepares or assists in preparing cost estimate.
- Requests quotes, specs, drawings and catalogues of materials and equipment from suppliers.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
